Bloodwork Update
So things have been really busy lately. I have been following the diet but I would say that it is more of a Phase 2 approach...or my own version of that...I've been eating yogurt every so often...just because I think it helps my stomach and because I really like Greek Yogurt. I was down a bit a few days ago but I haven't weighed in again to see how I'm doing.
I had my bloodwork done last week. I went to the doctor because I had a weird episode where I felt like my blood sugar dropped, then it felt like I wasn't getting enough blood/oxygen to my brain and then my heart started racing...3 days in row.
I found out about my blood work last night. Normally I get the new ahead of time but this time the blood work wasn't delivered to me! The last time I had it done was May...my cholesterol had gone up a bit from the April blood work (212) that had me so excited.
Here were the results in April:
Total Cholesterol: from 272 to 180 (That's almost 100 points in 3 months!)
LDL: 105 (a little high but much lower than before)
HDL: 54 (above average--but it has always been around 50-60)
LDL/HDL ratio: 1.9 (it's never been that good)
Triglycerides: From 262 to 105 (yea, I know, right?!)
Sugar: 100 to 92
And here are the results from yesterday:
(really not bad considering I haven't been 100% on the diet since August...)
Total Cholesterol: 192
LDL: 120
HDL: 62
LDL/HDL ratio: 1.8
Triglycerides: 80
Sugar: 90
It's like I'm a normal and healthy person!
