Update
So I was doing well...pretty much maintaining my weight loss for a few months.
And then in July, I almost passed out at my desk.
And then it was a daily thing...feeling dizzy...lightheaded...spinning...heaving...tired. Very first trimester, but without being pregnant. It all seemed very familiar to when I was trying to get pregnant the first time.
Sick.
Anxious.
Couldn't drive.
Pounds were piling on because I wasn't cooking or if I was, it was quick and not necessarily as low carb as it could be--still healthy but...there was a lot of pre-cooked things to help with meal prep. I was stuck in a 2 month...funk.
About 8-10 pounds, countless doctor visits, blood work, ultrasounds...all that turned up was that I passed my 3 hour glucose test, I passed a cardiac stress test, I have anxiety issues and I have cysts on my left ovary (not the super scary serious kind). But if I do have PCOS it proves why Ideal Protein works so well for me and why I had such great results both in weight-loss and blood work.
But...If I want to get pregnant, I can't really follow IP.
So what do I do?
I talked to a nutritionist a few days ago and I have a meeting with her in a few weeks. She thinks that the IP diet wasn't enough calories or carbs. I have a feeling that we're going to be battling each other
As for the cysts, I have blood work scheduled for later this month and a follow up with the endocrinologist to discuss what I need to do going forward. Mostly, PCOS is controlled by diet. I just need to find a follow one that I can carry into pregnancy.
In other news...I just got back on the treadmill and didn't feel like my cervix was falling out between my legs (TMI? Sorry.) I managed a 2.5 minute run in what was supposed to be me easing back into Couch to 5k (1 minute runs with 1.5 -2 minute walks and a 5 minute warm up and cool down).
Right now, my focus is on getting back to normal.
