Low Carb Comeback!

OMG.  I ate so much from December 15th-December 25th that I gained another 5lbs!  ARGH! But it's ok...or in the words of Olaf (yes we've watched a lot of Frozen this week)

I started right back on low carb on the 26th. Yes, with cookies, candy, cake, lasagna, antipasto, sangria, wine, wine, wine, bread and chocolate all in the house.  Did I mention...wine?

Yea, it's been CRAZY hard to not just sit at the table and eat 700 candy cane Hershey kisses and lasagna (it was my best one yet!) and meatball/sausage sandwiches but let me tell you...phew...I felt like my head was going to explode on the 24th and 25th from the salt/fat/carbs I consumed.  Seriously, but the time I got to the 24th, I was praying my pants would fit and THEN I ATE TWO DINNERS on top of that!!I did NOT like how I felt and I will not forget that...so...hence, the willpower.

But never fear...I'm down almost 5lbs since the 26th.  Yes, 5lbs in 3 days. I've been low carbing my weight off.  Shakes for breakfast, salads with chicken for lunch, high protein snacks during the day and protein and veggies at night for dinner...sometimes a little snack before bed.  I'm going to continue this until the 31st (two more  days!) and then I'm starting the official weigh in/measurements.  I already setup the notebook by my scale with a pen (no excuses!!) and I will start taking my AM and PM weight on the 1st...maybe the 2nd--we're having 7 Fish Dinner on the 31st...it's once a year...it will be salty.  There will be wine.

So in case you are wondering, I'm not following IP, as in I'm not eating IP food because my coach doesn't sell it anymore.  And I have some leftover products and some low carb snacks that I picked up in the last few years that I will use for snacks and things, if I'm out and about...but for the most part, I'll be eating REAL food for my snacks and meals with the exception of breakfast on most days--I really like my chocolate shake.

My goals...first, to get back to 30lbs down from my original January 2013 weight (so 3.5lbs-ish) and then 9lbs to get back to where I was before I fell an busted up my pelvis in August 2013.  And from there, 10-15lbs to reach my final goal.  And anything else will be gravy.  So for those of you following along, I plan to lose anther 22-27lbs from today.  At some point, yes...I will incorporate exercise.  But, as I did in 2013, I made the diet a way of life for 4 months and then started exercising.  That helped take off some fat and build muscle and I was able to increase my carb intake a little (read: I was able to drink a beer while grilling that summer) and it was wonderful.

I need to set some rewards.  Not sure what yet.  I just hope I stay motivated.  I have clothes I need to fit into!!

Here is to a Happy and Healthy 2015!
