A New Beginning

So I have decided that it is time to take control and move on from Ideal Protein.  Nothing against the program and in fact I highly recommend it.  It helped me lose over 40lbs quickly and I learned some really great eating habits/new foods/how my body reacts to carbohydrates and sugar.

Instead, I am following what I will call "Healthy Eating".  I have started substituting my morning IP shake with Udi's Cinnamon Raisin Bread with Almond Butter or a microwave in a mug home made flaxseed muffin with blueberry spread.  (YUM!)
Lunches are about the same (big salad and lots of veggies) but rather than having and IP snack with lunch, I save my snack for mid-afternoon and have some almonds with cinnamon sprinkled on them.

Dinners are stil IP dinners--2 cups of veggies and some protein.

Since starting, I've lost 4lbs.  Ok so the first 2lb were a given because I totally earned the gaining of those two pounds.  But I don't fee starved and in fact, I feel a little more free.  I'm not trying to drop 40lbs again (although my doctor told me that I still need to lose 30 more) but I am trying to develop healthy eating habits and detox my body to see how it makes me feel.

So the bar at the side for IP will no longer be updated.  The MyFitnessPal counter is counting my total overall weight loss and I am featuring a new tracker for my healthy eating.  I'd like to lose 20lb.  (Honestly, I'd be super psyched about 10lbs but I like to overachieve!)

I weigh in every day.  I guess I'll post some official results somewhere.
