I GOT THE JOB!
One year ago today, August 28th, 2012, I was at home with my daughter, enjoying an afternoon off in the last week of summer hours before going back to a full time schedule--the first time I would be away from here for 5 full days a week.
I got a call and had to bring her to work with me while I did some data entry...she sat on the floor. My boss called me over and told me that another position in the department was opening up and it might be something I'd be interested in and would allow me to lower my stress levels, etc. He was looking out for me
That job fell through...I had the flu when I interviewed...I was a mess....
I kept trying...found some jobs that I might be interested in and talked to some people in other departments about potential openings coming up...
After a strange turn of events I found myself being offered an interview and then a job. I am beyond excited but incredibly scared at the same time. I am leaving my field and doing something that will make life better for my family.
Here's to another new beginning in 2013.
