Ideal Protein Update

So I headed into my Ideal Protein center on Thursday (January 23, 2014) for my first official weigh in since July 22, 2013.

Back in July I was running 3 times a week.  I was moving out of Phase 1 of the diet.  Two weeks later I fell. Six month later, (three spent at Physical Therapy) 7lbs and an inch gained every place we measure, I'm back...

I am trying to decide if I want to start a new weekly weigh in....like a Round 2...because technically I met my first goal and now I want to meet my second goal, which is another 22lbs on the official IP scale.

I have been very discouraged because I can't run...in fact even walking and standing for long periods of time starts to bother me...my doctor told me that I don't have any issues and that most of what I am feeling is a result of giving birth to a decent sized baby...but I'm confused...WHY did this happen now...a year after a 5k...a 5k that I ran at almost 50lbs heavier. Straight up, I'm annoyed.  I really liked running because it gave me energy, I felt good about myself...I liked the sweat, the burn and the challenge and it was doing a really nice job of tightening everything up.   I realize that there are other things in the world that will do what running did...but I had a goal for a 5k and I don't know if I will physically be able to do it.

There.  I said it.  That is honestly what has been holding me back and depressing me and it's been my excuse for not pushing myself to stick to the diet over the last 6 months.  I'm broken.

Don't worry.  I hit myself on the back of the head this week and told myself "Hey dummy, when you started IP you lost 35lbs before you started exercising!" so I have decided to meet my 22lbs goal and in the Spring of when it warms up, I will start walking outside.

Round 2, Week 1 weight loss update will be on Thursday.
