Week(end) Review

So I spent the week stretching and popping my sacrum back in place and doing everything possible to get over, through, around this injury.

On Tuesday, we had a power outage due to our super duper snow storm...

Yes. This is ALL the snow we got.
So I only did my regular walks throughout the day.

On Wednesday, I walked.

2 Miles.  But I was feeling OK because I popped things into place during the day and they stuck.

On Thursday--HIIT Class.

I could barely walk that night.  Not because of my back but because of the workout!! It was a great class!!

On Friday, I was feeling alright!
And I tried a new routine!
Look how happy I am!! LOL

It was awesome.  I did intervals and I completed 3 miles.

hi! That's me!

The good mood continued into Saturday morning when I weighed myself and found that I was .2lbs away from 30lbs down.  .2, two tenths, practically 30lbs. It was glorious.

And then my Amazon.com order arrived and they sent me the wrong dress.

But as Bob Ross said in his show, "The Joy of Painting"..."We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents..."

What? You didn't think I'd try it on??
And so I took Amazon's mistake , ehem, I mean happy little accident, and decided that the universe wanted me to have this dress because obviously it was meant to be, right?! I mean look at it!  LOL
(BTW, I would have never ordered this dress because I would never believe it would look like THAT on me.)

I took Saturday off from exercise because 1) my legs hurt 2) I needed a day off   3)I used all of my energy to clean, LOL.

However, all good things come to an end.  I weighed in on Sunday morning and was up 3lbs.  THREE.  THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE POOUNNNDSSS.

I actually went back to bed.  I was so upset.  Did I "Sleep Eat"???

But then I realized (talked myself down)...it's only 3lbs, not all 29.8lbs.  And I had a winery date with 3 girlfriends. And I wasn't going to let 3lbs ruin my day.

Wine Tasting!!

And when I got home...

Treadmill time.
YAY!  I'm going to run!!

I don't sweat, I sparkle! Pshhh..no, I sweat.  I did 3 miles!!

And then I meal prepped some veggies for lunches this week. (I can't take full credit for this idea--my friend and fellow Retrofitter, Katie, was meal prepping and sending me texts about her veggies and making me hungry so I went to Acme, in my space pants,, and got some brussel sprouts, zucchini and a sweet potato.)

Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Sauteed zucchini and yellow squash with onions

And then, since I couldn't wait to eat all of the goodness, I made myself some dinner. It was SO GOOD.

Black Bean burger with my veggies

And I realize now, at almost 10pm on Sunday night, this week has really turned around.  It started with an injury and ended with 6 miles, meal prepping, great friends and a fresh start for next week.

Then this popped up on my Facebook newsfeed...

So go forth and conquer your week, and remember...Don't stay stuck. Do Better.
