Weigh In: Week 1

Last Saturday, I weighed in and took my measurements.  I started "lower carb" right after Memorial Day but I didn't start tracking all of my measurements until the end of the week.  By 6/4/2016, I had lost 2lbs. Those pounds are not counted in my measurements.

Since 6/4/2016

Weight: -2.2lbs
Inches: -2.5 total (arms, legs, stomach)

Not bad considering there was a visit to a winery, a cookie mishap and a few other higher carb moments.  But I can't help but think how much better it would have been had I stuck to it.  One obstacle I am facing is that I am still breastfeeding the baby.  She nurses when she wakes up, when I get home from work and at night before bed.  I am trying to wean the afternoon nursing.  I'm not sure if it will work because I am going back to work full time in 2 weeks and that might prompt her to want to nurse more since she seems to want to do it for comfort and closeness.  This is foreign to me as our first baby was like "Oh formula?! Where has this been all my (5.5 month) life!!

So, overall I suppose I am pleased with my progress,  I need to stick with it because I reallly do feel better when I cut back my carbohydrates.
