Leaving on a jet plane
So here I am, in Florida. Approaching my last few days of vacation. I am visiting my parents with my daughter and we have had beautiful warm sunny weather for most of the trip. It has been a great week.
I weighed in when I got here and decided that I need to figure out how to smuggle my mom's scale home because either I lost weight traveling south or her scale reads lower than mine.
I have stuck to the diet and haven't had any issues. Well, one restaurant gave us a hard time about subbing out the rice for extra broccoli and in the end we wound up leaving that place shortly after dinner was delivered because the steak was overdone, the shrimp was cold, the broccoli was foul and my dad's pasta looked like leftovers. The baby was antsy and none of us wanted to wait for a better meal. We went home and had omelets.
On Friday night I took my dad out to dinner and had a better time with steak and grilled shrimp. The tough part about eating out is the salt/sodium. I have noticed that my fingers were swelling. The only other issue I have had is keeping up with my water. I have had a hard time remembering to drink it or bring it with me when we are out.
As of Saturday morning, I was up .8lbs. I figure it is water weight and I am not going to sweat it. I have been walking more and playing golf. And I have been sick with a bad cold and tonsil/throat infection and I have noticed that antibiotics slows my loss. Or maybe being sick does.
So, in the end, Ideal Protein on vacation is easy. No issues, although I do miss my single serve blender cups and I didn't pack enough strawberry wafers for my night time snacks. Probably for the better. :-)
More when I get home, but for now....my view .
