Day 5 Ideal Protein Diet

So I unofficially lost another pound...
I say "Unofficially" because of what my coach said about only using his scale...

I think it is OK to celebrate small victories on the scale.  ESPECIALLY when it's taken 6 years to see this kind of progress.  I mean, for 6 years I was REALLY good at moving the numbers...just, never in a downward direction!!

With that said...Day 5.  Is it really day 5?  Maybe it's really more like day 3 without cheats...but I guess it's 5 days since I had bad food.

So here's what I ate today:

Breakfast: 6:30-7:30am - 1 IP chocolate shake (with ice today, so it lasted longer and it was GOOD)

Celery around 9:30, just because

Lunch: (11:30/12) Lettuce with 5 cucumber slices, 4 pepper slices, WF Italian dressing and 1 cup of brussel sprouts and IP Chicken Noodle Soup

The rest of the celery around 1:30 just because I wanted to crunch on something.

Snack:  3:45 Double chocolate Chocolate bar

Dinner:  7:00pm - 7oz shrimp with lemon pepper seasoning, sea salt and some onion, 1/2 cup of mashed cauliflower and 3/4 c steamed broccoli (since I had the extra celery I cut back my evening veggies...

I had 2.5L of water today, about 20oz of my seltzer creation and I'm currently sipping on about 12oz of my seltzer creation because I wanted something sweet and quenching and water wasn't doing it for me.

I don't recall going to the bathroom as much today.  I think I went about 5 times but I was also running around at work so I was forced to space out my potty visits today.  Actually, no...thinking about it...I went 3 or 4 times in my building and 3 times in the plant.  Wow.  I didn't go this much when I was pregnant and I was drinking the same amount of water!!!

I went down to the gym to weigh in, since I was doing a weight challenge down there before all of this started.  I'm down 2.5lbs since this time last month.  I had gained a little just after Christmas and then lost a little and then gained a little by the time I weighed in on Thursday so that sorta jives with my 3lb loss.

So here I am on day 5.  I've lost 3lbs which has usually taken me 1.5 months.  If this holds...if I can get passed this weight I will believe that this diet is working.  I'm still skeptical because I am losing weight that I've already lost and gained a few times in the last few months.

I'm just really excited to see how this diet impacts my blood work.  I think that will be more rewarding to me than the scale.

Til tomorrow!
